Practical Aquatic and First Aid Training in South East Queensland
Reef Training & Aquatics provides practical, hands-on training for individuals, aquatic staff, workplaces, schools, swim schools, community groups and organisations across South East Queensland.
Our SEQ training options include Pool Lifeguard, Pool Lifeguard Refresher, First Aid and CPR courses. Regular Pool Lifeguard training is delivered across key SEQ locations, including the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Redlands, with courses held at Nerang Aquatic Centre, Cleveland Aquatic Centre and Somerville House Aquatic Centre.
We also support businesses across the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas with onsite First Aid and CPR training. This allows staff to complete training together at their own workplace, reducing travel time and making course delivery easier to coordinate.

Gold Coast
For students, Nerang Aquatic Centre provides a realistic aquatic centre environment where training can connect directly to the type of work pool lifeguards perform every day. Students can develop skills in supervision, scanning, rescue response, emergency care, communication and aquatic risk management in an operating pool setting.
The location is suitable for students travelling from Nerang, Southport, Robina, Ashmore, Broadbeach, Helensvale, Carrara, Highland Park and surrounding Gold Coast suburbs.
Somerville House Aquatic Centre, Brisbane
For Pool Lifeguard students, Somerville House Aquatic Centre provides a structured aquatic environment where students can practise lifeguard skills in a professional pool setting. The venue is well suited to rescue practice, supervision activities, emergency response scenarios, teamwork and course-based learning.
Its central Brisbane location makes it a practical option for students travelling from South Brisbane, West End, Woolloongabba, East Brisbane, Highgate Hill, Coorparoo, Brisbane CBD and surrounding suburbs.
Cleveland Aquatic Centre, Redlands/Bayside
This mix of lap pools, learn to swim space and leisure water areas makes Cleveland Aquatic Centre a useful environment for Pool Lifeguard training. Students can practise supervision, scanning, rescue response, communication, emergency care and risk awareness across different aquatic areas.
The location is suitable for students travelling from Cleveland, Capalaba, Alexandra Hills, Victoria Point, Redland Bay, Thornlands, Birkdale, Wellington Point and surrounding Bayside suburbs.
Sunshine Coast training
Reef Training & Aquatics also provides training options for the Sunshine Coast.
For Sunshine Coast students, aquatic centres, schools and organisations, Pool Lifeguard training can be arranged by request, subject to venue availability and group numbers.
We also provide onsite First Aid and CPR training across the Sunshine Coast for businesses, schools, community groups and organisations. This is suitable for workplaces that want practical training delivered at their own venue.
