HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy
The HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy course develops the practical skills and knowledge required to use specialised resuscitation equipment, administer oxygen and respond to serious medical emergencies.
Training is delivered in line with Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and focuses on advanced resuscitation techniques, oxygen therapy, airway management and the safe operation of relevant emergency equipment.
Learning Outcomes
By completing the HLTAID015 Provide Advanced Resuscitation and Oxygen Therapy course, participants develop the practical skills and knowledge required to manage serious breathing and resuscitation emergencies using specialised equipment.
Training focuses on advanced CPR, oxygen administration, airway management, suction, bag-valve-mask ventilation, automated external defibrillation and ongoing casualty monitoring.
This course is suitable for lifeguards, workplace first aid officers, emergency response personnel, aquatic staff, event teams and others who may be required to provide advanced resuscitation or oxygen therapy before emergency services arrive.
