Pool Lifeguard & Aquatic Courses
A streamlined pathway to the SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard Skill Set for participants who already hold PUA20119 Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue), including eligible Surf Life Saving Bronze Medallion holders.
Learning Outcomes
By completing the Surf Bronze to Pool Lifeguard transition course, eligible participants build on the aquatic rescue, emergency response and teamwork skills already gained through PUA20119 Certificate II in Public Safety (Aquatic Rescue).
Training focuses on the additional knowledge and practical skills required in a supervised pool environment, including patron supervision, hazard identification, aquatic facility procedures, communication, incident response and pool-based rescue techniques.
As a result, participants develop the confidence and capability to apply their existing surf lifesaving experience in a pool lifeguard role and meet the requirements of the SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard Skill Set.
