Learning Outcomes

This unit applies to sport, aquatic, outdoor recreation and community organisations that supervise or conduct activities in natural open-water environments, including commercial, not-for-profit, community and government organisations.

It applies to workers who may be required to complete open-water rescues, including open-water lifeguards, outdoor recreation leaders, aquatic activity leaders and others responsible for supervising participants in lakes, dams, lagoons, slow-moving rivers and non-surf beaches.
