Perform water Rescues is the current Unit of competency for educators, caregivers and anyone supervising people on, in or near the water. The unit focuses on equipping individuals with the skills and knowledge required to perform rescues in aquatic environments. This unit is critical for lifeguards, emergency responders and anyone involved in water safety in a public or private setting.
Training typically includes identifying and assessing emergency situations, executing appropriate rescue using various techniques and applying first aid if necessary. Emphasis is placed on ensuring safety of both the rescuer and the person in difficulty, using rescue equipment and adhering to established safety protocols.The ultimate goal is to effectively and safely manage water-related emergencies and minimise the risk of drowning or injury.
Where can we get this training done?
We provide this unit as part of our Pool Lifeguard courses, and it can be completed on Day 1 of this course or we can deliver at your site as a stand alone unit. We come to you.
